WHERE TO STAY IN ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY, UGANDA

By 1983 there were no more white rhinos in Uganda because of several killings, poaching and hunting that had befell the world's endangered species. However in 2005, the rhino fund Uganda re-introduced the rhinos back in Uganda by establishing a rhino sanctuary, currently located in Nakasongola district where they are being bred and rehabilitated from. This sanctuary is the only place with white rhinos in Uganda and this means if you want to trek the rhino on foot this is the only place to go to. The security in this place now is tight 24/7 hours. The Ziwa rhino sanctuary is located in Nakasongola district in Nakitoma village along the high way to the wildlife gem, Murchison falls national park, about 180 km by road from Kampala.
